Accelerators, Cohorts and Demo Days Edition
There is a LOT of effort that goes into building a startup. We know – we live it every day. From the big-ticket issues (“is my product meeting a customer need?”) to the details (“did we pay the wireless bill this month?”) there is never a dull moment.
It Takes A Village
The good news is that we don’t have to do it alone. Indeed, we’ve been fortunate to work with some great advisors and mentors in the past 2 years. Our most recent experience was as a member of the 2019 Cohort of FounderTrac in Annapolis, MD. They really ran us through our paces to ensure we were delivering the best product to the customers that need us the most. We got a lot out of our time with EVERYONE involved — from the founders, sherpas (especially our Sherpa Julianne Hemingway), mentors and Cohort members – overall a great experience!
As with many accelerators, FounderTrac celebrates the end of our time in style with a big bash called Demo Day. All members of the cohort get to demonstrate how much they’ve grown their company to a room full of friends, mentors and investors.
Our Demo Day was last week and we had a blast demonstrating our product and pitching our company to the 200+ attendees. Watching our rockin’ cohort members do the same filled us with pride at being in such great company.
Customers Are Key
The main thread through all the presentations was how passionate each team was to solve a real problem for their customers.
